DESCRIPTION:From August 10 to 13\, 2024\, AIPG will be holding its National Meeting in beautiful Durango\, Colorado on the campus of Fort Lewis College\, an educational institution of about 3500 students situated on a mesa overlooking the town. Durango is located in southwestern Colorado in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains. The geology of the area is complex and highly diverse and includes amazing exposures of glacial geology\, enormous volcanic calderas\, exceptional exposures of Paleozoic and Mesozoic sedimentary deposits\, and Precambrian basement complexes. \n
