Vista GeoScience is proud to sponsor the Rocky Mountain Association of Environmental Professionals (RMAEP) Utah Brownfields Lunch & Learn on Thursday, September 10.

The presentation will feature Bill Rees of the Utah Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Environmental Response and Remediation (DERR) and will explore the challenges associated with redeveloping Brownfield properties and the tools available to help return contaminated or potentially contaminated sites to productive use.

Topics will include Utah’s Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), Enforceable Written Assurances, and approaches for assessing, cleaning up, managing, and redeveloping Brownfield sites.

Bill Rees has worked with UDEQ/DERR since 1997 and currently manages the VCP/Brownfields Section. Throughout his career, he and his team have worked with communities, private developers, and property owners on hundreds of contaminated or potentially contaminated sites across Utah.

Lunch will be provided.
